Pee Wee

The LISD Dr. Marcus Nelson Conference Center was filled with smiling faces as LISD’s special needs students participated in the Special Education Department’s Pee Wee Young Athletes Competition Field Day. 

The district’s special education students who are in adaptive physical education classes participated in adaptive physical activity events including soccer, bowling, beanbag toss, giant ball push, obstacle course, and a variety of other activities. 

With the assistance of LISD high school student –athletes, the youngsters participated in each event and enjoyed their day. 

Prior to the competition, the students marched in a Parade of Athletes.

LISD’s Special Education teachers, teacher aides, Adapted Physical Education coaches, under the direction of Special Education Director Raul Gomez, made this event possible and accessible for the students.
