Principal's Message

Hello K. Tarver Family and Friends,

Right now we are going through a difficult time due to the COVID-19. Parents please rest assure that K. Tarver has always had high expectations of our students, and the teachers have high expectations of themselves to help all our pony students learn and grow into well-rounded individuals and critical thinkers. Our K. Tarver Teachers are readily available to continue with the needed academic instruction to continue preparing our students for success.

Even though our campus is closed, academic instruction will still continue. We want our students to keep busy learning and growing as teachers are busy preparing exciting instructional on-line activities for our students to complete. Our district has also provided instructional packets which will be distributed every Friday in front of the campus through a drive thru schedule from 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.  All parents will be contacted by their child’s teacher to come and pick up the packets. Distance learning via our campus KT Distance Learning website will also be providing online instructional activities and information for parents and students in order to support your child’s learning.

Parents don’t forget that our campus is also providing Grab and Go Breakfast and Lunch. Bring your child (ren) and pick up some delicious food provided by our Child Nutrition Program. Grab and Go has been scheduled from 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (see our menu provided)

K. Tarver strives to be a place of hope and high academic progress for all our pony students and families. During this difficult time rest assure that your child will be provided with the necessary instruction needed to master the Texas Knowledge as Skills at their assigned grade level.

If you need further information or guidance don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher through Remind 101, Class Dojo, or e-mail. I will also be available through e-mail at for assistance.

To our Pony students, “Always remember your are BRAVER than you believe, STRONGER than you seem, SMARTER than you think, and LOVED more than you know.” by Winnie the Pooh

Let’s all stay POSITIVE and SAFE because better days are on their way!

See you soon,
